The Android Open Accessory Development Kit allows developers to write applications capable of interacting with the physical world via a special USB accessory mode in Android. Learn how to implement the Android Accessory protocol from any platform. A demonstration will be featured showing the protocol capabilities using the Raspberry Pi as a platform. The target audience should be embedded Android beginners who want to learn about the USB Accessory protocol. The intent of this presentation is to cover the implementation from both device and accessory sides, and how to avoid common pitfalls. The demonstration will show various use case scenarios which can be leveraged for more complex designs.
