The Android™ Builders Summit is a technical summit for OEMs, their device manufacturers, integrators, custom builders, and the growing Android and Linux Kernel developer communities. Intel's mobile communication group (MCG) has a single android build tree with many lunch targets(16). Each target generates an out directory with about 22GB of stuff (x16 gets > .5TB). Each target has the same ISA, kernel source and ABI. They differ mostly in peripherals industrial design from a kernel point of view. Our continuous integration and release build processes are is limited by the throughout and mass of build servers and disk storage. This presentation explores the problem space of creating an uber-target that just works across all the MCG hardware targets and, explores the techniques and options to get close to this ideal from a linux kernel point of view.
